Virtual office services in the Welsh capital

We may be best known for our serviced offices in London but did you know we also have regional centres offering workspace for rent in Cardiff and Edinburgh.

Our Cardiff centre, only 10 minute walk from Cardiff Central train station, has all the amenities our serviced office clients expect from us: contemporary design, meeting rooms, conference facilities, plenty of relaxed break out spaces for informal meetings and catch-ups, showers and changing rooms, bike storage, complimentary refreshments, a dedicated on-site team … as well as a gorgeous roof terrace, lots of co-working space, a friendly community of other flex space clients and plenty of social and networking events.

The Cardiff office building is managed by Tracey Holloway, an avid Welsh rugby supporter (who is also our Director of Quality and Standards). As you’d expect her days are busy and varied, and no two are the same but she’s given us a glimpse into what she does. Each morning the day starts with a quick half hour catch up with the Cardiff office team, this is a chance for everyone to catch up and check-in regarding plans for the day and any issues which need to be addressed. This usually followed by a walk around the building and Tracey admits she has eagle eyes, which helps to keep the centre in excellent condition as she spots potential items for maintenance before anybody else.

Our Cardiff office is in a beautiful old synagogue; however, it is the peace and sense of calm, and the feeling of warmth (as well as the design) which Tracey believes makes it such a great office facility. As with all our flexible office spaces we put our clients at the centre of our business model and Tracey will visit each of her clients each day for a chat and check-in.

It’s building these close relationships which has helped her centre to maintain impressive levels of occupancy, currently 97%. Although many of our clients want to rent office space, others want a more flexible office solution – allowing them to work from home but also benefit from having virtual office services to support them.

There are currently about 30 virtual office clients in our Cardiff centre. Tracey believes that the key differentiator between OSiT’s VO services and other virtual offices is our professionalism and personalisation. In Cardiff in particular, where a city presence can be considered a pre-requisite for a successful business, clients can select what support they want … whether it’s simply a business work address and a reception for call handling, or also making use of other business support and admin services and the ability to hot desk from the centre or book meeting rooms.

Tracey mentions one VO client who visits the OSIT Cardiff office each week, booking car parking and a meeting room, allowing him to host 4 -5 client meetings at a prestigious business address, where there is a professional reception team on hand to look after his clients when they arrive.

There are Cardiff virtual office clients who have worked with OSiT for over 17 years, although over the years as their businesses have developed some have switched to renting a serviced office, before switching back. When the building, work environment it creates, facilities, highly professional team, flexibility and competitive price are all taken into consideration (plus additional benefits available to all OSiT clients) Tracey believes the VO service is an incredibly cost efficient model for small businesses.

It is their professionalism which Tracey credits as being key to the long standing relationships she and her team have built with clients. Our VO service is far more than a PO Box. Unsurprisingly some clients think they want a virtual office but a tour of our Cardiff office centre ultimately leaves them wanting to join our serviced office community.
