It’s beginning to look at lot like Christmas in Cardiff
OSiT might be best known in town for our flexible office space, after all we’ve got a host of different work space options to suit you: Cardiff serviced offices – tick, meeting rooms – tick, co-working space – tick, virtual offices – tick. However, we’re very aware that a good workplace is more than four walls. Perhaps we’re a little biased but we think our offices are in the perfect Cardiff location to make the most of the many attractions and things to do in the city.
If you’re turning your attention to work Christmas party ideas, why not think outside the early Christmas dinner box? We thought we’d share a few of the upcoming festive events in Cardiff that have caught our eye.
The Bute Park Christmas lights are back from 22 November 2024. This is an amazing immersive light trail running through the gorgeous Bute Park, near to our Cardiff city centre office space. Aaaaaand this year there is also a Christmas Village where you can refuel with the best of Cardiff’s street food – eat, drink and be merry without a Brussel sprout in sight!
With fun fair rides and games, a Big Wheel outside the City Hall and a pop-up ice skating rink in the grounds of Cardiff Castle the Cardiff Winter Wonderland will be in full swing from 14 November. Guaranteed fun for all ages, whether you’re a wannabe Torvill and Dean or prefer to keep your feet firmly on the ground and judge from the side-lines. You can warm up with mulled wine in the alpine ski-lodge themed bar or chill out in the Ice Bar.
Christmas just wouldn’t be Christmas without a pantomime (ohhh no it wouldn’t)! And you can’t beat a classic panto; Cinderella is at the New Theatre from 7 December.
If you’re looking for a show that’s a little more adult then Cardiff Christmas Festival in Sophia Gardens might have the answer, offering an array of music, comedy and cabaret under the dome of an incredible mirrored tent. All the shows look amazing but the My Favourite Things – Christmas Cabaret Spectacular for two nights only (20 and 21 December) is set to be a extravaganza of raucous comedy, burlesque and cabaret..
Of course, if you want somewhere special to entertain clients (or even enjoy night out with your better half before the house descends into chaos) you may want a different vibe. With our offices to rent located in lovely Pontcanna we’re lucky to be just a short walk from arguably some of the best restaurants in Cardiff including Michelin rated Thomas, Heanys and Uisce, offering up modern cuisine and seasonal tasting menus (not to mention very sip- able cocktails).
If you want to tickle your taste buds in a more relaxed setting the Cardiff Christmas Market and German Christmas Market have returns to the city centre from 14 November. Perfect for nipping out of work to grab a tasty lunchtime snack alongside a stocking filler or an office Secret Santa pressie. The Christmas market is showcasing over 200 individual businesses selling a huge selection of arts and crafts products and yummy seasonal food and drink, so it’s a great opportunity to support a small business while getting your Christmas shopping done or enjoying some festive cheer with colleagues.
As 2024 draws closer you may also be considering your office needs for the future. If you are looking for Cardiff office space or meeting rooms (or even office services further afield) do give our team a call to chat about how we can help you.
