Serviced offices in Northampton news: SMEs 'begrudge investing in security systems'
Operating out of serviced offices in Northampton may save some companies from having to invest in an expensive security system.
Adrian Platts, spokesman for the Business Crime Reduction Centre, explained how many small and medium-sized enterprises see such measures as a "grudge purchase".
As a result, he claimed that a number of firms "will be tempted to under invest" in the devices they need to protect their company.
"Often, a business will look to cost savings and may only have a simple system installed. This can be a false economy," Mr Platts stated.
It was suggested that it may be pointless to have security networks that are not fit for purpose installed.
Organisations were advised that it is important to ensure they have the right system to protect their business and this will depend on how the firm operates.
The comments come after managing director of Get Safe Online Tony Neate explained how it is vital companies check their website security is up to date.
