Humans are not designed to sit for long periods of time. Unsurprisingly, spending upwards of seven hours at a desk, five days a week, takes its toll on our bodies. We need to move.
There’s been a definite shift towards a return to the office recently. Several high profile companies have been in the press this year, as they start to change the working from home practices that started during the pandemic and call their employees back to the office - whether full time or on a more flexible or hybrid working basis.
When OSiT was first formed in 2009, it’s fair to say we completely disrupted the flexible office market. Managing the top three floors of Euston Tower we set out to provide our clients with a cutting edge experience, unlike any other serviced office on offer.
At OSiT we have a strong purpose to be a fair and responsible company, focussing on improving the lives of our people, protecting the planet and contributing to our community.
Back in 2021 OSiT’s Chairman, Giles Fuchs, stated in no uncertain terms the flexible office workspace industry was going to be an area of continued growth and renewal post-pandemic, attracting attention from more and more traditional commercial real estate (CRE) landlords, looking to diversify their portfolios after the months of uncertainty which Covid-19 ushered in.
The digital infrastructure specialist NCG recently released the findings of their independent survey of over 1,000 senior decision makers at UK businesses, and the results shine a light on the way changing work habits are impacting the workplace market

In an era where work dynamics have transcended the traditional office space, prioritising the welfare of our workforce is imperative. Employers are increasingly acknowledging that employee well-being is not just a desirable aspect but an essential foundation for a thriving and sustainable business environment. However, this heightened awareness doesn’t always translate into tangible results felt by employees.
